After hunting with the same rifle for over 35 years(.270), I decided I HAD to have a new rifle. I really liked the looks of the Ruger American Rifle and after talking to a lot of people and reading endless reviews, got the .308 and put a 50mm Nikon on it. Guys, I am VERY IMPRESSED. If you are looking for a great shooting rifle that won't break the bank, check these out. I'm shooting the Federal Premium 165gr. BTSP and you talk about accurate and knockdown, it's there! :wtg:
