Can someone id this and can i eat it 
WHERE DID YOU CATCH HIM AT OTHER THAN IN THE MOUTH 
THAT IS A STRANGE ONE THERE. I HVE BEEN FISHING THE OCEAN FOR A VERY LONG TOME AND NEVER SEEN ONE OF THEM BUGGERS.
The anal and dorsal fins resemble a mola mola but the caudal fin is not even close. Perhaps a juvenile mola? Would help to know what general area / depth it was caught.

blueoceaneyes had it right it is an Atlantic Pomfret/brama brama cought in deep water and going into the broiler tonight!
I hear ya BlueOceaneyes...some of that Florida fishing background, eh?
